Hairstyle for 25/12/2010

So I'm going to break down to you how I did my hair for the 25th December (finished product should be shown at the bottom of this post)
  1. Separate hair into 8 sections (depending on your hair length. In my case, 8 sections did the trick).
  2. I used Dia's rosewater spray mix first to hydrate my hair. Select your first section, and hydrate it.
  3. To seal in moisture, I used Afrocenchix's daily conditioning oil. Apply this (or an alternative) to that same section of hair to seal in moisture. http://www.afrocenchix.com/
  4. After applying that, I applied Dia's Avocado and Coconut Oil Leave-In Conditioner. This left my hair softer than ever before and FREE of tangles. http://www.dias-allnatural.co.uk/
  5. Plait up that section and repeat on all other sections until you have something a little like this going on:

After this, I put on my du-rag and went to sleep (eventually). I kept my hair protected like this for about 3 days. When 3 days were up, I took the plaits out and used Sazzy Waves Styling Gel with Aloe Vera (the only unnatural product I use) and a hard brush to flatten the sides and top. To hold it in place, I used one of my hair heroes.. BOBBY PINS! You can fiddle about with it to style it however you like at this point.
Here's how mine turned out!:
